Any job role that requires an intermediate level of math skills involving fractions, decimals, ratios, rates, and percentages.
Whether calculating salaries, projecting growth, or evaluating ROI, in today’s data-driven business world, many professions require good math skills. Employees who can easily understand and work with numbers take better business decisions based on facts and data. They can develop plans, allocate budgets, and distribute resources efficiently to support growth.
This intermediate math test evaluates candidate’s ability to perform math operations (additions, subtractions, multiplications, and divisions) using fractions and decimals. It also assesses candidate’s ability to calculate rate and percentages, estimate ratios, and calculate time duration.
Candidates who do well on this test understand the relationship between different types of numbers and know how to manipulate different numbers and equations to arrive at a solution. Unlike our elementary math tests that focus on double- and triple-digit whole numbers, one half of this intermediate math tests centers around fractions and decimals, while the other half requires the ability to work with percentages, rates, ratios, and durations.

Any tool can have functions—bells and whistles. Not every tool comes armed with staff passionate about making the user experience positive.
The TestGorilla team only offers useful insights to user challenges, they engage in conversation.
For instance, I recently asked a question about a Python test I intended to implement. Instead of receiving “oh, that test would work perfectly for your solution,” or, “at this time we’re thinking about implementing a solution that may or may not…” I received a direct and straightforward answer with additional thoughts to help shape the solution.
I hope that TestGorilla realizes the value proposition in their work is not only the platform but the type of support that’s provided.
For a bit of context—I am a diversity recruiter trying to create a platform that removes bias from the hiring process and encourages the discovery of new and unseen talent.
