We are a talented group of industrial and organizational psychologists, data and assessment scientists, psychometricians, researchers, and academics. We deliver leading edge, science-based assessment content, measurement insights and innovation and enhance TestGorilla’s core intellectual property, content, constructs, tests and reporting. We strive to continually strengthen the quality and scientific underpinnings of our talent evaluation and decision-support tools as we connect skilled candidates with dream jobs, and organizations with skilled talent. </p><p dir="ltr">We are looking for an open-minded, tech-savvy professional to support the future of hiring beyond traditional roles and through leveraging AI and modern technologies. As a <strong>Work Measurement / Talent Data Scientist</strong>, you will contribute to our hiring philosophy and help shape the future of work and skills-based hiring. This role blends your expertise in I-O psychology with cutting-edge data science to tackle the challenges of AI-powered talent insights. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how we leverage data and technology to understand and assess skills for optimal talent matching and decision-making. </p><p dir="ltr">You will bring innovation, creativity, and subject matter expertise in IO psychology, work measurement, data science and/or analytics to both <em>understand </em>people and jobs and support the creation of matching algorithms that appropriately <em>connect </em>people and jobs. You will also support our expansion into related domains such as exploring new methods and innovations in talent matching, evaluation tools, test development, and additional ways to generate and capitalize on data-driven insights and analytics.</p><p dir="ltr">This is an amazing opportunity to contribute to the innovation and development of talent assessment products within TestGorilla’s portfolio and join the team shaping and creating the future of hiring. </p><p><br></p><h1 dir="ltr">You’ll spend time in the following:</h1><p dir="ltr">Tackling key challenges in talent and work measurement:</p><ul>
<li dir="ltr">Mapping and standardizing job skills:<ul>
<li dir="ltr">Critically examining our current taxonomy of occupations and skills in order to create, review, and/or improve our taxonomy of job occupations/roles and workplace skills</li>
<li dir="ltr">Developing strategies and algorithms to map skills across diverse data sources (tests, assessments, job descriptions etc.).</li>
<li dir="ltr">Ensuring consistent taxonomies, vocabulary and accurate analysis.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">Developing a view/model of job success:<ul>
<li dir="ltr">Leveraging job analysis and performance metrics to identify measurable indicators of successful performance for different roles.</li>
<li dir="ltr">Utilizing data science and psychometric tools to predict candidate success in specific roles.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li dir="ltr">Connecting job and talent measurements:<ul>
<li dir="ltr">Developing algorithms and frameworks to align individual skills and abilities with the requirements of specific roles.</li>
<li dir="ltr">Designing and implementing reliable and valid assessment tools for evaluating candidate suitability for different positions.</li>
<li dir="ltr">Adapting job measurement and talent assessment methods to new technologies, work trends, and organizational structures.</li>

<li dir="ltr">Supporting initiatives to de-bias algorithms and provide interpretable explanations for insights.</li>

<li dir="ltr">Conducting robust research studies to validate measurement methods and improve person-job matching accuracy.</li>

</ul><h2><br></h2><h2>The job in a nutshell:</h2><p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Quality Engineer</strong> to join our engineering department and help us bring our product to enterprise-level maturity. Your work will directly impact hundreds of thousands of users around the world.</p><p>As our user base grows, our code base grows, and our engineering capacity expands, we also need to take our quality engineering to the next level. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to implement good practices and instil a great quality mindset within the engineering team and beyond. </p><p>Some of our goals are to improve the user experience, increase the quality of our processes and deliverables, reduce the number of defects propagated in production, improve our recovery time, and, ultimately, achieve quality at speed!</p><p>Test automation and acceptance testing will be regular duties to achieve these objectives, but obviously, there’s more! As a senior member of the engineering team, you will work together with our product team, our customer success team, as well as the different engineering teams (candidate environment, employer environment, internal tools, cloud infrastructure, etc.).
